Chiropractic Care

Sports chiropractics focuses its care on the relationship between joints and their resulting effect on movement throughout the body. This requires a comprehensive understanding of biomechanics in order to properly treat joint restrictions in the spines and extremities with research-based techniques.

Fascial Manipulation

A specialized manual therapy technique aimed at evaluating and treating global connective tissue dysfunction by restoring normal motion/gliding to the system. Fascia is a connective tissue found throughout the body that surrounds and attaches muscles, joints, and internal organs to provide stability and allow movement to occur. Viewing the body as a whole, instead of just focusing on the site of pain to obtain complete pain relief and restoration of movement.

Manual Therapy

Not your average soft tissue work. If you want a fluff massage, go to the spa. We will get to the root of your problems with precise tension and specific trigger point release to restore tissue tension, restore range of motion, and break up fibrosis/adhesions. This is an effective form of treatment for muscle, fascia, tendon, nerve, and ligament injuries.

Cupping Therapy

A method that can be used by our therapists in the overall rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions with the goal of improved mobility, stability, and movement patterns of the body.

Cupping can help with stress, pain, fatigue, reducing inflammation and muscle aches, increasing nutrient exchange, and red itchy skin conditions. Stimulating the blood flow and breaking up adhesions/scar tissue, myofascial lines od movement releasing trigger point, and providing pain relief and return to normal function.

Kinesiology Taping

An innovative technique that uses an elastic tape that can be applied to provide support, decrease swelling/edema/bruising, and facilitate or inhibit specific muscle groups. It helps activate your neurological, circulatory, and lymphatic systems. There are multiple aspects to this technique, it can be used for acute injury, supporting and acting as muscle groups to allow you to obtain your full range of motion without further exacerbating an injury, stimulating your lymphatic system, and helping decrease hypertonicity in muscular groups.

IASTM

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a manual therapy technique using patented instruments to treat acute, chronic, and post surgical soft tissue injuries. IASTM breakup scar tissues and built-up adhesions while encouraging increased blood flow to muscles resulting in improved range of motion and functionality. It is used by more than 120 major professional and amateur sports organizations, more than 6,500 leading health care providers, teaching institutes and major corporations worldwide.

Active Release Technique

Active Release Technique (ART) is a diagnostic and treatment system that targets soft tissues of the body with a hands-on approach. Direct pressure is applied to the problematic parts of the body and combined with specific movements to reduce pain, decrease muscular tightness, and improve joint range of motion. ART treatments are specifically tailored to patient needs and can tackle a variety of conditions such as acute sports injuries, overuse injuries, and postural pain.

Corrective Rehabilitation

Customized approach to corrective exercise using functional rehabilitation. Assessing the body as a whole to determine best course to not only help alleviate the current pain but to correct poor biomechanics that lead to the injury. We will assess your movement and any muscle imbalances using Functional Movement Screening.

Temporomandibular Joint Disorders

Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD) can cause jaw pain, headaches, ear pain - ringing in the ears (tinnitus), decreased jaw movement, clicking and locking, and be correlated to neck pain. Training at a TMD/TMJ specialty clinic, Kinetic developed a successful treatment program for those who are suffering from TMD. The program utilizes integrative care through functional chiropractic treatment and is tailored individually for each patient. We work in close collaboration with your dental and medical providers to ensure you receive optimal care.

“Dr. Sylvia Tripp is amazing! I have been treated by a few different Chiropractors over the years and no one compares to Dr. Tripp. She goes above and beyond the old school methods with new techniques like cupping therapy, the Graston Technique, and soft tissue massage. Her treatments are thorough and she always takes the time to explain your injury/pain and why it is causing you discomfort. I highly recommend her every chance I get.”
